REDHILL – FORMER LIQUID AND ENVY NIGHTCLUB
We have worked together with the Council to secure full planning permission for demolition of a locally listed art-deco façade and development of a new building comprising up to 11 storeys for 133 apartments.
The former Liquid and Envy nightclub previously benefitted from planning permission for residential development for 76 apartments which included retention of a locally listed façade.
Our assessment of the condition of the façade found it was not ‘fit for purpose’ for residential development and held back the land from realising its full potential. Following extensive work with the Council, using a market leading professional team, we designed a scheme to demolish the art deco façade and provide a new flagship building comprising 133 residential apartments next to Redhill Station.
The local community and key stakeholders were engaged throughout the process leading to a positive planning consent at committee. Despite many false starts from other developers, the scheme is now being delivered in partnership with Crest Nicholson Regeneration.
