Rainier Developments have submitted a full planning application to Birmingham City Council on the Moseley Street site comprising of 366 apartments in two blocks of between 5 and 8 storeys in height.
The Site extending to 0.7 hectares comprises cleared previously developed brownfield land which has been vacant for several years. It is located close to Highgate Park in the Southside area of the city and bound by Moseley Street, Moseley Road and Cheapside.
The proposals represent an excellent opportunity to deliver a high-quality development in a prominent city centre location which accords with the aspirations set out in the adopted Rea Valley Urban Quarter SPD. The scheme includes a mix of residential apartments and will provide residents with amenity space in two private courtyards in addition to new public realm, referred to as Park Lane.
